Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let sit until foamy (about 5 minutes). Whisk in melted butter, sugar, and egg.
  2. Gradually add flour and salt; mix until a soft dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  3. Place dough in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled (about 1 hour).
  4. While rising, prepare the filling by mixing cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over it, then layer cheesecake filling evenly.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar mixed with cinnamon over the filling. Roll tightly from one long side and cut into 12 pieces.
  7. Arrange rolls on a greased baking sheet; bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, prepare the glaze by beating together cream cheese and butter; gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
