Ingredients

  • Fresh basil leaves (washed and dried)
  • Olive oil
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. In a clean canning jar with a plastic lid, layer fresh basil leaves and sprinkle kosher salt in between each layer.
  2. Continue layering until the jar is three-quarters full.
  3. Pour olive oil into the jar until all basil leaves are completely submerged.
  4. Seal the jar tightly and store it in a dark cabinet for at least one month before using.
