  • 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
  • ¼ cup granulated white sugar (for cream cheese mixture)
  • 1 large egg (for cream cheese mixture)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for cream cheese mixture)
  • orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla until combined; pour into dry ingredients and mix gently.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth; add sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and orange food coloring until creamy.
  5. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish. Spoon dollops of cream cheese mixture over it, then top with remaining brownie batter. Swirl lightly with a knife.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
