Easy Turkey Chili is the perfect comfort food that delivers a hearty meal in just 30 minutes. This quick and flavorful dish combines lean ground turkey with spices and pantry staples, creating a nutritious chili that warms you from the inside out.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 medium onion (chopped)
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 2 heaping tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or to taste)
  • 1 (14 ounce) can red kidney beans (drained)
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies (with juices)
  • 1/2 cup water or chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sauté chopped onion until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add ground turkey, breaking it up as it cooks, until browned (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir in tomato paste and spices (chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne) until well combined.
  4. Mix in drained kidney beans, diced tomatoes (with juices), and chicken broth or water. Bring to a gentle boil.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving hot with your choice of toppings.
