  • 1 package pre-made pie crust (2 rolls)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1/2 medium diced bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup Mexican blended cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onions, and bell pepper over medium heat until the beef is cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add cumin, garlic, salt, pepper, and chili powder; cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles using a bowl as a guide.
  6. On each circle, place 2-3 tablespoons of filling and top with cheese.
  7. Fold over and seal edges with a fork. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
