Ingredients

  • Saltine crackers
  • Unsalted butter
  • Brown sugar
  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine unsalted butter and brown sugar. Stir continuously until it boils; let it boil for 2-3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the crackers and bake for 5–7 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven, sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee layer, and let sit for 2 minutes to soften.
  6. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the melted chocolate.
  7. Top with a light sprinkle of sea salt.
  8. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
